“Education is chief defense of nation.” we have heard of this proverb many times but never tried to understand its real meaning. I am not going to discuss what this proverb actually mean but just throw some light on the education system in our nation and how can it revolution and come up as our chief defense.
India is treated as best place for studies around the world. It is even seen that for teaching, many forgiven institutes invite Indian teachers. But when it comes to our own Indian education system, which has been always changing itself according to changing circumstances, but many people have sour thoughts about it. Recently, our H.R.D. Minister Mr. Kapil Sibbal introduced an idea of combined test for engineering which is a very good thought as student will not have to fill 10 to 15 application forms for different institutes and appear in so many examinations. But on the other hand the grading system which has been introduced in CBSE board in 2010, many people are annoyed by it. It has been a habit for many people to ask “Oh! How much marks did your child scored in 10th board exam?”; obviously because it has not been like a ritual for past many years, but as there are some changes made, sometimes CBSE board students feel like oh! We got CGPA not percentage or marks and they feel like getting grade is worse than that marks. But they don’t understanding the real Moto of introducing this change viz. to decrease pressure on students. We know that no one is perfect in this world thus we need to bear some strain of someone who is imperfect and someone need to bear some strain because we are imperfect.
If we talk about power of education then I would say it is the best weapon to bring out revolution if used wisely. We think we need to get educated just to get a job and daily bread-butter. But we don’t realize education is one of the most powerful instruments for reducing poverty and inequality. It is a key to enhance India’s competitiveness in global economy. Thus in particular for poor and rural population it is central to economic and social development of India.
I have always thought to be a software designer as it’s my passion but even I had an eternal dream. Some great personality has said “Arise, awake and stop not till the goal is reached.” This reminds me my real goal i.e to do something for nation bring out some revolution. It was my eternal dream, but I am still following my passion just because 95% dreams do not come true so there is only my passion on which I have faith that it will bring some success in my life. But it doesn’t matter if you are not a good person.
I truly appreciate the efforts made by some organizations like SERF who organize such fabulous events which aspires us for thinking out of the box and give us exposure to world and various activities that we can undertake to plan our career. They generate awareness and give an idea for how to achieve your goal.
In the end I would just like to say as we are the young generation we should get ourselves educated and show what kind of miracles we can do………
So LE AAO TARE ZAMEEN PAR and prove what you are and what you are up to…………….
